I had a lot of trouble with my nearside top link. It was replaced by Nissan with a genuine Nissan part and 5 months later the same garage failed it on the MOT for excessive play. I complained, they contacted Nissan UK intending to report a faulty part,  but instead this service bulletin was produced and I had to remind them of it for the next three years each time they attempted to fail the MOT. Eventually, whilst investigating uneven tyre wear Pete Rosenberg at SE Nissan told me that it really was at the limit of it's wear now and I had it replaced again - this cured the tyre wear problem.
